New guidance for electronic text-based communications
The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Judge, handed down revised practice guidance to cover electronic text-based communications from court this week. Under the new guidance, although members of the public will still need to make an application to use text-based devices to communicate from court, journalists and legal commentators will not.
