Double appointment for family and commercial property teams

Timms Solicitors has expanded its team with the appointment of two senior lawyers.

Nikola Guthrie (pictured, right) has joined the firm in Derby as the head of the commercial property practice, after more than 16 years at Freeths LLP where she was a senior associate.

Managing partner Fiona Moffat commented: ‘Nikola is well known and highly respected in her field across the region in her field. She will be a valuable asset to the commercial property team—particularly in Derby which is seeing a significant growth in development and real estate opportunities.’

Additionally, the family team has welcomed Adrian Rose (left), who spent almost four years with Cartwright King. Adrian is a Resolution-trained mediator, who will now spearhead the implementation of a family mediation service at Timms.

Fiona said: ‘Adrian’s expertise and his excellent reputation on family law matters and mediation services will greatly enhance the fast-growing family law team. News of his appointment has been welcomed by clients who recognise the positive impact that timely and cost-effective resolution can bring during difficult times in their lives.

‘I am delighted that we continue to attract high calibre professionals to join our established teams.’
