Trainee solicitors’ code

The Law Society has replaced the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) as a signatory to the Voluntary Code of Practice for the Recruitment of Trainee Solicitors, settling uncertainty about whether the code will remain in place. The code sets out best practice guidance for the recruitment of students and trainee solicitors.The SRA had resigned as a signatory on the basis recruitment practices were not part of its regulatory function.
