Legal finance firm welcomes managing director & head of North America

Litigation funding provider Vannin Capital has announced a pair of new hires, including the appointment of Ania Farren as managing director.

Ania (pictured) was formerly a partner in the international arbitration group at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, and has also previously worked at Baker Botts, Shearman & Sterling, and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She is highly experienced in dispute resolution, particularly arbitration, and is a vice-chair of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Arbitration & Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.

Vannin Capital’s head of international arbitration, Yasmin Mohammad commented: ‘Ania’s breadth of international experiences and capabilities make her perfectly suited to navigating the complexities of the London international arbitration market. She will be a fantastic asset to Vannin’s international arbitration team and will help take us from strength to strength.’

Elsewhere, Vannin has also welcomed Scott Mozarsky as regional managing director of its North America division. Formerly the president of Bloomberg Law, Scott will now manage the firm’s North American operations from the New York office.

Commenting on Scott’s appointment, Vannin Capital CEO’s Richard Hextall, said: ‘The addition of Scott strengthens our North American business and will enhance our ability to service clients in one of our key markets. He is well known in legal circles, and his experience as a lawyer and business leader makes him an ideal fit to develop and execute our U.S. strategy.'
