International arbitration practice welcomes senior associate

International firm Winston & Strawn has expanded its international arbitration practice in London with the appointment of senior associate Brian Kotick.

Formerly a senior associate with Mannheimer Swartling in Sweden, Brian is admitted to practise in both New York and California. He focuses his practice on international commercial and investment treaty arbitration, and offers particular expertise in disputes involving Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Ricardo Ugarte, the international arbitration practice chair, said: ‘Brian’s appointment continues our investment in the UK, where the practice has grown significantly in recent years and is recognized as one of the leading arbitration practices in Europe. His appointment reflects the phenomenal success of the London team and its integral role within the global arbitration practice. Brian is recognized as a top-tier attorney in our field and his move reinforces our goal to further expand both in London and internationally.’

Brian added: ‘It’s an exciting time to be joining Winston’s international arbitration team, which has developed such a respected presence in London and beyond. The team is supported by an exceptional international network and has an excellent culture of commitment to its clients and its people.’
