London office welcomes head of immigration

Transatlantic firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has announced the appointment of Andrew Tingley as partner and head of the immigration practice in its London office.

Prior to his move, Andrew worked at Kingley Napley LLP for almost ten years, and was a partner for more than seven. He specialises in advising on immigration matters, advising clients from professional services, the third sector, SME start-ups and high net worth individuals.

Partner and head of WBD’s employment practice Michelle Chance said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Andrew to the partnership and to our London and national employment practice.  Having worked with Andrew previously as a former colleague, I can say with confidence that he will be a great addition to our team and I am looking forward to working with him closely again. He joins us with a wealth of experience in the corporate and high net worth individual immigration sphere and his expertise will be crucial to the growth of the firm and in particular, the London office as we continue to advise clients on a wide range of complex high value employment matters, and particularly Brexit related issues.’

‘As our clients need to be able to move workers seamlessly across borders, Andrew will play a vital role in bolstering our city focused and wider national employment offering and supporting our corporate clients' and high net worth individuals' global mobility issues.’

Andrew added: ‘WBD has an impressive client portfolio across a number of sectors and a highly regarded employment team, not only in London, but across the UK and the US. The firm is clearly committed to growth and is well positioned in this changing legal marketplace for success in the future. What also attracted me to the firm was its commitment to Diversity and Inclusion, an area that I am deeply passionate about, and I look forward to becoming involved in the firm's many initiatives.’
