Midlands-based legal services firm Wright Hassall has announced three senior appointments, adding significant expertise to its property litigation, commercial property and corporate teams. Ben McCosker and James Frost join as senior associates, while Gemma Trencher takes up the role of associate.

Ben McCosker, a solicitor advocate since 2023, joins the property litigation team with extensive experience in contentious commercial property matters, including landlord and tenant disputes. He also advises on litigation involving contract, public and information-privacy law. ‘I’m looking forward to bringing my advocacy skills to support clients in complex property disputes,’ said McCosker.

James Frost joins the commercial property team with over a decade of experience advising developers, investors and landlords. His expertise spans conditional sales, development agreements, leasing and portfolio management. ‘I’m excited to help clients navigate high-value transactions and deliver successful outcomes,’ Frost commented.

Gemma Trencher strengthens the corporate team, specialising in mergers, acquisitions and restructuring. She works with businesses of all sizes and has a strong background in corporate governance and shareholder matters. Managing partner Phil Wilding said: ‘Ben, James and Gemma each bring exceptional expertise and a proven track record, enhancing our ability to deliver outstanding legal solutions across multiple sectors.’
