Legal disputes boutique grows the partnership with promotion

Dispute resolution boutique Zaiwalla & Co has appointed Leigh Crestohl as its third partner and head of its international arbitration department.

Leigh joined the firm in 2012 from his position as head of commercial and civil litigation with Malletts Solicitors, and was also previously a senior associate at Clifford Chance. He has more than 20 years of experience in commercial litigation, and specialises in international commercial arbitration cases. Leigh trained in Canada and previously worked with Ogilvy Renault (now Norton Rose Fulbright Canada); he is admitted as a lawyer in Quebec and Ontario as well as having qualified as an English solicitor, and is a fluent French speaker.

Leigh said: ‘I am delighted with my appointment as partner at the Firm, and relish facing the opportunities that come with the role. Zaiwalla & Co continues to grow its reputation in the UK and abroad as a leading specialist litigation and arbitration law firm, and I intend to contribute significantly to this growth.’

Founder and senior partner Sarosh Zaiwalla commented: ‘It is exciting to be promoting a talented lawyer like Leigh from within the firm. Organic partner growth is essential to building our future, in addition to our growth by lateral hires. Leigh has demonstrated leadership and consistent high performance during the six years he has worked with us and we take great pride in promoting him to our partnership.’
