Addleshaw Goddard has announced the re-election of Charles Penney as the firm’s senior partner.
Charles will begin his second term in the role from 1 May 2019, serving as senior partner for a period of four years. A former secretary of the UK Takeover Panel, Charles joined Addleshaw Goddard in 2005; he focuses his practice on advising domestic and international clients on M&A deals, IPOs and joint ventures.
Charles said: ‘I am delighted to continue to serve as senior partner of Addleshaw Goddard for a further four years. We have great clients and great lawyers and, alongside my existing client commitments, a continued focus on our growth, our brand and our culture will be key priorities for me as senior partner.’
Managing partner John Joyce added: ‘I am looking forward to continuing to work closely with Charles in leading our firm and driving further improvements in our performance and service. A contested election creates a healthy environment in which to engage with partners and Michael Leftley has our respect and thanks for his part in that process.’
