Consumer MP launches consultation
An alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme could be set up for consumers with grievances about goods or services, if government proposals go ahead. Consumer minister Jenny Willott launched a consultation this week on the potential consumer redress scheme. One option could be as simple as setting up a website and telephone line. The Consultation on rectifying disputes, which is part of an EU Directive to be implemented by July 2015, closes on 3 June.
