AlphaBiolabs supports The Christie Charity with £500 Giving Back donation

AlphaBiolabs has donated £500 to The Christie Charity through its Giving Back initiative, helping to support cancer care, treatment and research across Greater Manchester, Cheshire and further afield

The donation was awarded as part of AlphaBiolabs’ bimonthly Giving Back draw, a scheme designed to enable legal and social work professionals to support causes that matter to them. For every testing instruction received from family law and social work professionals, the company enters the customer into a draw to ‘win’ a £500 donation for a charity of their choice.

The latest winner was Lily Wilson, a paralegal in the childcare team at Bromleys Solicitors LLP in Ashton-under-Lyne, who nominated The Christie Charity to receive the funding.

Lily said: ‘The Christie Charity is Bromleys’ charity of the year, and we’re really pleased to be able to support them through AlphaBiolabs’ Giving Back campaign. The work done by the charity has such a positive impact on so many cancer patients and their families, so it’s great to see them benefit from this donation.’

The Christie Charity supports The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, and relies on donations to continue its work in research, specialist facilities and patient care.

John Ashley, corporate fundraising manager at The Christie Charity, said: ‘We’re extremely grateful to Lily and AlphaBiolabs, as we rely on contributions like this to fund pioneering cancer research, invest in specialist equipment and facilities, and enhance the care provided for people affected by cancer across the region.’

Rachel Davenport, director at AlphaBiolabs, said: ‘The Christie Charity supports one of Europe’s leading cancer centres and plays a vital role within the North West community. We’re proud to play a small part in supporting such an important organisation.’

The next Giving Back draw winner will be announced in March.
