Hampshire firm appoints head of new family department

Andrew & Andrew Solicitors has appointed Shikha Datta as head of its newly established family law department, as the Hampshire firm continues to expand its service offering. The move adds a dedicated family practice to the firm’s existing capabilities across its offices in Portsmouth, Emsworth and Wickham.

Datta brings more than 25 years’ experience in family law, advising on complex financial settlements involving trust structures and overseas assets, as well as prenuptial agreements and jurisdictional disputes. She also has significant expertise in children matters, including residence, contact arrangements and leave to remove applications, acting for a wide range of clients in the UK and internationally.

Commenting on her appointment, Datta said: ‘I’m thrilled to be joining Andrew & Andrew Solicitors,’ adding that the firm’s culture is ‘considered, client-focused, and committed to achieving the optimal outcome’. She said she is ‘well-placed… to lead this new department and navigate the complexities of family law’.

Andrew Wisniewski, director, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Shikha as head of our family law department,’ adding that her ‘extensive experience and client focused approach make her an exceptional addition’. He said the hire ‘marks a significant step in our continued growth as we expand our services to include family law’.
