Withers hires property litigation partner
Withers has hired property litigation specialist Andrew Chesser as a partner in its London office. Andrew joins the firm from DAC Beachcroft, where he led the London contentious property team.
Andrew's practice has covered all forms of property disputes, with particular experience in landlord and tenant disputes and giving strategic advice to avoid disputes but, if necessary, leading to actions in court, arbitration, tribunals and planning enquiries. He is also experienced in handling mediations.
Paul Brecknell, Withers' real estate group head, comments: "Andrew is an acknowledged leader in conducting property disputes and, with 25 years of experience, has addressed the widest spectrum of contentious issues that can arise in relation to real estate. His expertise at the forefront of this field will be a great asset to our property litigation team and of great service to our clients."
Andrew adds: "Withers' property practice is one of its great strengths, and has a broad range of high net worth business and institutional property investors, developers and occupiers as its clients. I am very excited about moving to Withers to build on the firm's existing strengths in property disputes and look forward to working with the international team on some major projects."
