Anthea's sector experience includes office, retail, logistics and hotels with a particular focus on advising investors into these sectors in the UK and Europe through indirect investment vehicles. Her appointment will boost the firm's corporate real estate investment practice and will also strengthen the firm's number one ranked hotels business, with Anthea having vast experience of working with clients in the hospitality and leisure sector.
Chris de Pury, head of real estate, says: “Given the strength and breadth of our market-leading real estate practice, it takes someone special to add something new to our top ranking team. Anthea does exactly that. Her appointment will add great experience to our corporate real estate offering and her understanding and insight into the market will be of huge value to clients and their complex multi-jurisdiction deals.”
Anthea adds: “I’ve worked across the table from BLP on a number of deals and the in-depth knowledge the firm has as a full-service real estate practice makes this a truly desirable place for a real estate lawyer to work. My experience will be a strong fit and I am excited about joining the team which provides a top ranking platform for advising clients on their key real estate transactions."
