Following a string of recent promotions, social purpose law firm, Anthony Collins, is announcing the hire of two talented legal directors, William Hallett and Lorna Scully, who are joining with over 40 years of legal experience between them.
William Hallett (pictured) joins the firm’s projects team, specialising in construction and engineering transactions for public sector clients, including housing associations, NHS Trusts, educational institutions and local authorities.
An experienced legal adviser on complex construction and infrastructure projects, William supports the delivery of major refurbishment and redevelopment schemes, helping clients to navigate contractual complexity, whilst protecting long-term project outcomes. Within the firm’s non-contentious construction practice, he offers insightful advice and helps clients to review, draft and negotiate industry standard or bespoke building contracts, as well as related construction contracts.
William Hallett, legal director at Anthony Collins, said: “With experience of advising a wide range of public sector organisations, including housing associations and educational institutions, I am excited to be joining Anthony Collins’ property and construction team, and supporting the firm’s clients in realising their long-term goals. I am especially pleased to be part of a firm that is committed to delivering social value and having a positive social impact.”
Joining the employment team, Lorna Scully brings over 20 years’ experience advising both the private and public sector. Her role will see her support organisations with the handling of complex grievances and disciplinaries, restructuring, settlements, and disputes, all backed by her commitment to strategic understanding.
Lorna Scully, legal director at Anthony Collins, said: “After over 20 years as a legal practitioner, it brings me great joy to start the next chapter of my career at Anthony Collins. Employment law is such a diverse and complex sector and is currently going through a period of significant change, so it’s great to be working alongside a team of professionals who are focused on providing expert guidance to support the delivery of clients’ strategic goals.”
Matthew Wort, senior partner at Anthony Collins, said: “The first half of 2026 has been a period of exceptional progress, especially when it comes to our people. I am looking forward to building on our achievements by making more new hires and continuing to invest in developing our people to further their careers.
