Anthony Gold Solicitors LLP has announced that Anna Sibbald has joined the firm as joint head of the trusts and estates department. She is the latest addition to a growing private client team and will be working on an expanding caseload of trust and estate matters.
Sibbald brings a wealth of knowledge from a lengthy career, including a spell of over 26 years at Charles Russell Speechlys LLP where she worked for a wide range of clients including individuals, both domestic and offshore, family trusts, charities and offshore companies.
She has a significant amount of experience of the management and compliance of trusts, including charitable foundations, succession, and tax planning. She deals with all aspects of income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax for individuals, both UK and non-UK domiciled, trustees and executors, probate, and the administration of estates.
Sibbald has a particular focus on cross border estates, dealing with the complexities of inheritance tax treaties and frequently consulting with other professionals, both in the UK and abroad. She has dealt with multiple jurisdictions including Guernsey, Jersey, the USA, Australia, the Middle East, and the Far East.
She will be working closely with Grainne Feeney, the other joint head of trusts and estates, as well as the other private client departments at the firm, to offer a broad service to meet the various needs of private individuals.
