The search has begun for the next two Justices to join the Supreme Court, following a clutch of retirement announcements this year
The independent selection commission launched two competitions this week, to replace Lord Lloyd-Jones, who will retire in January, and Northern Ireland judge Lord Stephens, who will retire in April. One of the successful candidates must have knowledge of, and experience of practice in, Northern Ireland.
The closing date for applications is 9am on 19 October.
Lord Briggs was confirmed earlier this month as the next president of the Supreme Court, replacing Lord Reed, who will retire in January.
