National specialist pensions law firm welcomes partner

National specialist pensions law firm Arc Pensions Law has announced that experienced pension lawyer Beth Brown has joined its London office as a partner.

Beth joins from DAC Beachcroft, where she advised clients on all aspects of pensions law. She has 14 years of experience advising both trustees and employers and has previously been seconded to the Pension Protection Fund. Beth has a particular focus on the insolvency, finance and governance aspects of pensions, notably advising trustees on employer insolvencies and transition to the Pension Protection Fund, sponsor refinancings and de-risking including an innovative £1.6 billion buy-in.

Beth’s appointment demonstrates Arc Pensions Law’s position as a pioneer, driving pensions law into the future. This is a core principle of the firm’s forward-thinking outlook. The firm’s long-standing motto, ‘For the Future’, encapsulates the proactive and visionary approach Arc Pensions Law takes towards the industry, and Beth’s joining is a tangible example of this motto in action.

Commenting on her appointment, Beth said: 'I am delighted to be joining Arc Pensions Law. The firm’s reputation in the pensions industry is unambiguously stellar, and I am excited about the opportunities at Arc.'

Managing partner Rosalind Connor said: 'We are delighted to welcome Beth to the firm, in what is another step towards developing the next generation at Arc Pensions Law. Her top-flight experience across a broad range of pensions matters makes her an excellent addition to our team.'

Anna Rogers, senior partner, commented: 'We are building a cadre of young Partners at Arc.  After two internal promotions, we’re now adding another lateral hire.  Beth brings a wealth of expertise that enhances our extensive offering for all kinds of pensions clients.'

Arc Pensions Law was founded in June 2015 and is the first specialist pensions law firm to be launched in over 30 years. The award-winning firm has been shaking up the pensions law market since its inception, and is now heralding in its next generation of pensions lawyers. Alongside Beth, the firm also welcomes Sohail Khan as an associate, further strengthening its London offering. Sohail joins following his training at The Pensions Regulator.
