Firm appoints new media specialist to boost TMT sector

Thomas Eggar LLP has announced the appointment of media specialist Aurelia Butler-Ball as a solicitor in the TMT team. 

Aurelia, who will be based at the firm’s office in Crawley, joined from Verisona Law where she worked for two years representing a variety of media clients including solo artists, bands, record labels, music publishing companies, film production companies and digital media companies. 

Prior to joining Verisona Law, Aurelia spent time in the legal departments of Universal Music assisting the directors of legal and business affairs at Mercury Records and Decca Records. 

Aurelia has been charged with strengthening Thomas Eggar’s client base in the media sector in the Brighton and Hove area with a particular focus on new and emerging talent and digital media start-ups. 

Lee Harding, business development manager for the TMT team, says: “Aurelia’s appointment is particularly exciting as our expanding team is now better able to capitalise on the evolving digital hub in the South East. She brings expertise in the creative and digital industries, confirming our commitment to this fast growing and exciting sector.”
