Firm makes two significant hires in Hong Kong
Ince & Co has announced the appointment of Balbir Bindra as partner and Yeon Jin Seong as of counsel in Hong Kong. Balbir joined Ince & Co on 4 January 2016. His recruitment follows that of Yeon Jin who joined the firm in November 2015.
Balbir is a banking and finance lawyer, with broad experience in the energy, asset-based finance and investment sectors in senior roles, both in the private sector and as a partner at major international law firms. His experience includes advising energy companies, financial institutions, investment funds and multilaterals on cross-border asset, project and structured finance transactions relating to energy, natural resources, transportation and industrial equipment. Balbir also advises on structured debt capital markets and investment fund transactions, advising underwriters, issuers and investors on corporate bonds, convertibles, exchangeable bonds, repackagings and asset-backed products.
Yeon Jin is a US qualified lawyer specialising in corporate/M&A, private equity, project finance, banking and capital markets work. He is heavily involved in developing Ince & Co’s Korea practice together with partner Kijong Nam. The firm already advises a number of major Korean companies and sees Korea as a country with future growth potential.
