Barrister standards

The Bar Standards Board (BSB) has updated its Professional Statement for barristers and added a new Threshold Standard and Competences. The Professional Statement describes the minimum level of knowledge, skills and attributes that barristers must have from their first day of practice. A BSB spokesperson said: “The Professional Statement and Threshold Standard will underpin the future system of training for the Bar.”
