Berkeley Rowe bolsters litigation team with series of hires

International corporate and commercial law firm Berkeley Rowe has added two litigators to its growing team.

Senior associate, Daniel Roberts joins from Smithfield Partners, while associate Jonathan Bennett joins from Slaughter & May.

Daniel Roberts has worked on a wide range of contentious matters including advising both companies and individuals in commercial disputes, from the County Court to the Court of Appeal. These include cases relating to breach of directors’ duties, civil fraud, insolvency, professional negligence, contractual disputes, debt recovery, costs assessments and ADR.

Jonathan Bennett works on a wide range of contentious matters, including breach of contract, company and shareholder disputes, corporate/M&A disputes, enforcement injunctions, debt claims, insolvency disputes, data theft, privacy and breach of confidence and civil fraud.

Jonathan also has property litigation experience, including landlord and tenant disputes, opposed and unopposed lease renewal proceedings, rent arrears recovery, enforcement of restrictive covenants and issues surrounding the Assets of Community Value regime.

The firm has also recruited two litigation paralegals and taken on two trainees.
