Five join the partnership in latest promotions round

Birketts has announced the promotion of five lawyers to the firm’s partnership, effective 1 April 2025. 

Joining the partnership are: 

  • Helen Cordingley (pictured), Private Client Advisory 
  • Alex Forwood, Corporate 
  • Sarah Holsgrove, Shipping and International Trade 
  • Laura Tanguay, Property Disputes 
  • Olivia Toulson, Employment  
The internal promotions bring the total number of partners at Birketts to 130.    

On the promotions,  Jonathan Agar, Chief Executive, said: 'I am delighted to welcome our new partners who will play a key role in the future development of Birketts. It is particularly pleasing to see our female partner representation continuing to grow, taking our proportion of female partners to a new high of 43%.'

Chris Schwer, Senior Partner, added: 'I’d like to congratulate our newly promoted partners, who will continue to contribute to Birketts’ ongoing success. I wish them all the best as they progress their careers at the firm and am very much looking forward to seeing them develop further as members of the Partnership.'
