Law firm appoints senior associate to property team

Senior Associate, Sheetal Sharma has joined Birketts’ Commercial Property Team.

Moving from a boutique commercial real estate law firm in London, Sheetal has more than 10 years’ experience practicing law, and advises both corporate and individual clients on a range of commercial property matters. She is an expert in the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold property, as well as landlord and tenant matters such as lease renewals and licences to assign or carry out alterations. She also provides property support on real estate finance matters.

Speaking of her appointment, Sheetal said: 'I’m delighted to have joined the Birketts and I am excited to be working with some of the biggest blue-chip commercial property firms in the UK. Birketts is a fantastic full-service practice, so knowing I’ll be supported by both one of the largest commercial property teams in the country and hundreds of cross-sector legal experts is a huge asset when working with clients.'

Partner in Birketts’ Commercial Property Team, Grace Kerr, added: 'Sheetal is a great fit for the team professionally and personally. Her expertise gathered over a varied career is exactly what we look for in our lawyers, equipping them to deal with unique matters, and her clear advice and proactive attitude will help any client feel more at ease. I look forward to working with her in the coming months.'

Sheetal will be based at Birketts’ Chelmsford office, but will be supporting clients and colleagues across our offices in Cambridge, Ipswich, London and Norwich.
