BLG appoints first chief operating officer

Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP (BLG) has announced the appointment of David Jabbari as an equity partner and the firm's first chief operating officer. David will join BLG in February 2009 from Allen & Overy LLP, where he is currently an associate director and the global head of knowledge management.

Working closely with Clint Evans, BLG's CEO, David will continue BLG's planned programme of practice development and expansion and assume joint responsibility for BLG's business support services teams.

Clint Evans said: “David will bring to BLG operational experience from a career of senior legal management roles. He is one of the world's leading figures in law firm knowledge management with a strong interest in legal process efficiency and market sector intelligence. David's expertise will be invaluable to the firm”.
