Family law firm welcomes new partner
Burgess Mee Family Law is pleased to announce the appointment of family law partner Rachel Freeman. She joins the firm from Kingsley Napley, where she was a partner.
Rachel has more than 20 years’ experience across all areas of family law. She has particular expertise in complex financial cases and disputes in relation to children. Many of her cases have an international aspect, often with links to France and French-speaking countries. A collaboratively trained lawyer, she also holds a foundation certificate in psychotherapy and counselling.
Antonia Mee, partner and co-founder of the firm, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Rachel to Burgess Mee. Her vast experience and her ability to provide strategic, pragmatic yet empathetic advice make her a talented addition to the team.’
Rachel trained at Clifford Chance, qualifying into the commercial litigation department in 2001. She began her family law career in 2002 at boutique firm Miles Preston, becoming a partner in 2012. She joined Kingsley Napley as a partner in 2017.
She said of her new role: ‘I am excited to be joining the fantastic team at Burgess Mee. I have watched the firm go from strength to strength since Antonia and Peter established it and I can’t wait to be part of it.’
