Burgess Mee has appointed Victoria Sterritt as a legal director in London. She joins from Davidson McDonnell, now Browne Jacobson Northern Ireland, where she was a legal director and head of the private client team, acting primarily for London-based clients.
Dual-qualified in England & Wales and Northern Ireland, Sterritt has practised exclusively in family law throughout her career. She advises on the full range of issues arising from relationship breakdown, with particular expertise in child arrangements, international relocation disputes, wrongful retention cases, and complex financial matters involving family businesses, farms and trusts.
A trained mediator, Sterritt is committed to promoting out-of-court resolutions where appropriate and acts for a broad client base including entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals, City professionals and high-profile figures. She is recommended in the Spear’s Family Law Index and is a member of Resolution and the London Irish Lawyers Association committee.
Peter Burgess, senior partner at Burgess Mee, said Sterritt’s ‘strong experience in both financial and children cases and work in modern families is a perfect fit for our boutique practice’. Sterritt said she was ‘delighted to join Burgess Mee’, citing the firm’s ‘commitment to client care, excellence and innovation’ as making the move ‘a particularly exciting opportunity’.
