Employment law offering in Guernsey expands with new hire

Carey Olsen has strengthened its employment law capability in Guernsey with the appointment of Louise Stothard as an associate in the firm’s dispute resolution and litigation team.

Stothard specialises in employment law, advising on contentious and non-contentious matters including data protection, population management and immigration. Her background spans private practice and in house roles, giving her a strong commercial perspective on employment issues.

Admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2011, she previously practised across all areas of employment law at Nabarro LLP before moving into an in house legal director role, advising on employment and commercial matters across the full employee lifecycle.

Carly Parrott, head of employment and counsel at Carey Olsen, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Louise to the team’, adding that her ‘well rounded and commercially focused approach’ will be ‘hugely valuable to our clients’.
