Carpmaels & Ransford—Rachel Taylor

Promotion to senior associate at European IP firm

European intellectual property firm Carpmaels & Ransford is pleased to announce the promotion of Rachel Taylor to senior associate.

Rachel joined Carpmaels & Ransford in 2005, then qualified as a chartered patent attorney and European patent attorney in 2009. Her diverse practice spans the engineering, tech, chemistry and materials sectors, from oil-in-water emulsion adjuvant manufacture through to animal nutrition, skincare and medical devices.

Rachel has substantial experience prosecuting European patent applications, as well as working on many European oppositions and appeals across a variety of subject matters. Alongside her European work, Rachel manages large global portfolios and has extensive prosecution experience outside Europe, including Japan, China, Brazil and the US.

Carpmaels & Ransford has offices in London, Munich and Dublin. James Warner, the firm’s head of chemistry and pharmaceuticals, said: ‘Congratulations to Rachel, who has built a broad practice during her time at the firm, covering all aspects of the patent life cycle, from drafting through to European Patent Office opposition-appeal work and litigation support. Rachel’s promotion underlines our commitment to supporting homegrown talent, and the depth and breadth of our healthcare and materials expertise.’

Rachel’s promotion follows the promotions of Adam Ellwood, Clara Hughes, Lawrence Paleschi and Joanna Rowley to senior associate within the life sciences, engineering and tech teams.
