Firm expands international team with partner hire

Carter-Ruck has welcomed international arbitration partner Tom Cameron to the firm. Tom joins from White & Case.

Tom has represented clients in numerous high-value commercial arbitrations, as well as in disputes under investment treaties. Having practised in Paris and London, he has experience of disputes under contracts with a wide array of different governing laws of both civil law and common law jurisdictions.

He has experience of arbitrations seated in numerous jurisdictions (including England, Switzerland, Singapore, France, the Netherlands, Sweden and Qatar) and under all the major institutional rules, as well as of advising on enforcement and annulment proceedings and other proceedings before national courts.

Tom is an English solicitor advocate, with substantial experience of oral advocacy and cross-examination in international arbitration proceedings.

His experience spans numerous industries (including energy, metals/mining, construction, technology, telecoms, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and private equity).

Carter-Ruck senior partner Cameron Doley said: ‘Tom’s arrival builds on and strengthens our international capability as we continue to deliver a wide range of dispute resolution services to multinational companies, sovereign states, global media networks, international banks and UHNWs.’

Tom added: ‘I am excited to join Carter-Ruck and to work with Cameron and the team to further contribute to what is already a thriving international arbitration and international law practice.’
