Clyde & Co—Jack Holling

Global firm strengthens insurance practice with appointment of partner

Global law firm Clyde & Co has announced the appointment of Jack Holling as Partner in its London office, strengthening the firm’s insurance coverage capability and its strategic focus on complex and emerging risks.

Jack joins the firm’s Financial Lines team from DAC Beachcroft, where he has been a Partner since 2022, and brings nearly two decades of experience advising London market insurers on high value and often cross‑border coverage disputes.

Having built a strong market reputation in W&I insurance, Jack regularly advises insurers and MGAs on a significant volume of claims arising from M&A transactions. In recent years, his practice has grown rapidly, driven by his own client relationships and a focus on technically complex and commercially sensitive coverage issues. He also advises insurers on cyber coverage issues and financial lines policies, including D&O, financial institutions and professional indemnity risks.

Commenting on the appointment, Louisa Robbins, Head of Financial Lines Practice, Clyde & Co, said:

“Jack is widely recognised for his expertise in warranty & indemnity insurance and for his deep understanding of specialist insurance products. His arrival strengthens our coverage offering at a time when insurers are facing increasingly complex and cross‑border risks. Jack’s entrepreneurial approach, strong client following and technical reputation make him an excellent fit for our Financial Lines team.”

Jack Holling added:

“Clyde & Co has an outstanding reputation in the global insurance market and an unparalleled track record in handling the insurance market’s most challenging issues. The firm’s depth of expertise, international reach and collaborative culture make it the ideal environment to continue developing my practice, particularly in W&I and cyber insurance. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across London and internationally.”

Jack’s appointment follows a series of hires which reinforce Clyde & Co’s leading position in insurance coverage and support the continued growth of its London Insurance practice.

Clyde & Co’s Financial Lines Insurance team has a long-established reputation as being the market leader in managing and defending claims and regulatory proceedings against professional firms, financial institutions and advising insurers on policy coverage. Its experience ranges from the largest, most complex disputes to cases across all traditional and emerging professions and its team are highly adept in offering specialist advice on both high volume and high value claims.
