Coodes Solicitors—17 promotions

Firm promotes 17 lawyers, including five new partners, across multiple practice areas

Coodes Solicitors has announced a major round of promotions across the firm, including five new partners, five senior associates and seven associates. The promotions come during what the South West firm describes as a landmark period of growth and follow a record year in which revenue reached £12.7m.

Hayley Gaffney and Ben Sidgwick in dispute resolution, Laura Noble and Kerry Tresidder in residential property, and David Usher in personal injury have all been promoted to partner. The firm's first cohort of senior associates comprises Michelle Hawkins, Jack Peart, Kathryn Shaw, Laura Vanstone and Shelley Workman, while seven further lawyers have been promoted to associate across wills & probate, court of protection, residential property and clinical negligence.

Elise Alma, partner and chair, said the promotions reflect 'everything we stand for as a firm' and demonstrate both the firm's culture and ambition. She added that seeing '5 individuals reach partner level in a single year with promotions for another 12' highlights the strength of the business and its people.

Alma described the firm's performance as 'exceptional', noting that it had reached '£12.7m for the first time in more than 275 years'. She said it was 'immensely satisfying to reward the outstanding contribution' of those promoted and that the appointments reflect 'a firm that is genuinely growing in the right way'.
