Legal sector teams gear up for Festival of Sport 2026

The Law Society RFC Festival of Sport returns next month, bringing together legal and financial services professionals for one of the sector’s largest annual sporting events

Held in association with specialist legal search firm SRM Recruitment, the 2026 Festival takes place on Sunday 20 September at Richmond Athletic Association. Forty-seven firms have already signed up, with 107 teams due to compete across rugby 7s, mixed tag, netball and men’s and women’s five-a-side football.

Several 2025 champions will return to defend their titles, including Dentons in women’s football, Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang in men’s football and Simmons & Simmons in rugby 7s. Norton Rose Fulbright will meanwhile be seeking a third consecutive mixed tag title.

The event will again have an international flavour, with Irish firm William Fry and Paris-based Le Rugby Club du Palais, representing the French Law Society, among those taking part. The City of London Solicitors Company will also field teams across all five tournaments.

Brockwell Capital continues as ball sponsor, while Liva and legal AI company DeepJudge join as new sponsors for 2026. A limited number of spaces remain available for firms wishing to enter.
