Court fee waivers

MoJ consulting on new court systems

A capital test for court users and monthly rather than annual salary based calculations could be introduced as part of reforms to civil court and tribunal fee waivers targeted to save £7m. One unified system could be introduced for the whole courts and tribunal system to simplify administration.

The Ministry of Justice is consulting on the proposals until 16 May, and the new system is expected to be in place by October.
