Criminal Classifiers

In Brief

A new review has been launched to establish how information about criminals and criminality can be used in the interests of public protection. The independent Review of Criminality Information, led by Sir Ian Magee, aims to make recommendations which will increase the efficiency of the whole public protection system and provide direct benefits for staff on the front line. For the purposes of the review, criminality information is any information which is, or may be, relevant to the prevention, investigation, and prosecution or penalising of crime.
