DAC Beachcroft has appointed Paul Brehony as a partner in its commercial disputes practice in London. He joins from Signature Litigation, having previously spent ten years as a partner at Stewarts, and brings almost three decades of experience in complex banking, commercial, fraud and insolvency-related disputes.
Brehony has advised on a number of high-profile banking cases and insolvencies, including Kaupthing, Sa'ad and Stanford International Bank. His client base includes leading accountancy firms, as well as individuals and corporates across a range of specialist sectors.
John Bramhall, head of the commercial disputes team, said Brehony joins the firm at ‘an exciting time’ as it continues to expand its international work. He added that the firm would build on Brehony’s expertise in ‘international fraud and asset recovery work’ and develop ‘new areas of international instructions’.
Brehony said DAC Beachcroft’s ‘strong reputation in the disputes space’, together with its international reach and sector-focused approach, provides ‘a great platform to support clients on complex, cross-border matters’. He added: ‘I look forward to working with the team to further build the practice.’
