Outgoing Association of Personal Injury Lawyers president Amanda Stevens has berated the Ministry of Justice for failing to reform the law on damages. In her final statements as president, Stevens said the Ministry had still not responded to comments made to its consultation on damages reform two years ago. She expressed regret the government had failed to “grasp the nettle” on helping injured people.
