ULaw appoints director of client law firms
The University of Law (ULaw) has today announced the appointment of David Barnes to the position of director of client law firms.
Currently at Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP), David Barnes was a leading corporate partner at Linklaters for over 25 years, spending 10 years establishing Linklaters in Hong Kong and playing a major role in the development of Linklaters in Asia. In his last role with Linklaters, David was global head of the corporate division, leading the firms work with clients such as BT Group, Centrica, HSBC, Jardine Matheson Group and J Sainsbury.
Following his retirement from Linklaters in 2011, since 2012, David has been a consultant partner at BLP in the corporate finance practice, assisting in their successful development in Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore, as well as assisting in establishing their outbound practice from Japan.
