Firm acquires construction law partner

Knights professional services has appointed partner Deborah Ritchie to its growing real estate team.

Deborah has more than 24 years’ experience in construction law. She joins Knights as an expert in contentious and non-contentious construction law and was recently successful in winning a very high-profile and complex litigation case in the High Court during her previous role.

Deborah says: “For more than 20 years I have worked on a number of high-profile cases across the Midlands so I’m really excited to be part of Knights’ rapid growth across the region and beyond. Knights is a commercially-minded business that has a strong focus on client services and team work, which is a culture I enjoy being a part of and really thrive in. I’m particularity looking forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to the already well-respected real estate team, working with existing clients and bringing in new business for the firm.”

David Beech, CEO for Knights, says: “Deborah’s legal experience is second to none in this field and we are delighted to welcome her to our national, growing real estate team of 100 professionals. As we continue to expand across Derbyshire and further afield, Deborah’s experience will help us to bolster our already very strong offering.

“We are committed to investing in the very best talent and thanks to our recent acquisition with Darbys Solicitors we will soon have more than 300 professionals across our seven offices."
