Partnership grows with latest promotions
Law firm Devonshires has promoted two lawyers to partner, taking the total number of partners at the firm to 43.
Banking and governance specialist Alice Overton and dispute resolution lawyer David Pack have been made partner in the latest round of promotions at the firm.
Alice (pictured) started her legal career at Devonshires, qualifying into the banking, corporate and governance team in 2014, having completed her training contract at the firm.
Alice’s stellar rise through the ranks came as a result of her work on a broad range of transactions including bond issues, private placements, financial due diligence, security arrangements, intra-group funding on the banking side. She also advises on consumer credit and mortgage regulation with a particular focus on registered providers.
David joined Devonshires in 2017 and mainly concentrates on dispute resolution with a focus on commercial fraud investigations. He acts for companies and businesses within and outside the UK in many ‘offshore’ jurisdictions. His clients include companies, government bodies, housing associations, military, regulators and private individuals.
David’s practice includes claims and disputes concerning commercial fraud, tax investigations, professional negligence, insolvency litigation, asset tracing, debt recovery, shareholder and other corporate disputes and money laundering issues. Prior to joining Devonshires, David was heavily involved in the fallout from the Icelandic banking collapse and conducting litigation in the UK, Iceland, Luxembourg, France and the Channel Islands. David has also worked in-house at a litigation funder.
In addition to the two new partner promotions, partners Asif Patel and Elad Yasdi will be promoted to fixed share equity partner. They were previously salaried partners.
