DMH Stallard has strengthened its corporate practice with the establishment of a commercial team led by Seb Jones as a partner in the firm’s London office.
He will work with the firm’s existing commercial team led by John Yates. Seb's previous experience includes roles with Magic Circle firm Linklaters and US ‘big law’ heavyweight Debevoise & Plimpton.
He subsequently worked for the Barclays Bank in-house legal team in their structured products division in London, where he managed and developed a team of 12 people. For the last three years, Seb has led a commercial team at Tunbridge Wells-based Thomson Snell & Passmore, where he was Head of Commercial.
He brings to DMH Stallard and its clients more than 15 years’ experience in commercial law, spanning sectors including energy, retail and fashion, technology, logistics, construction and professional services. In addition to legal skills, Seb truly knows what makes a business tick: he co-founded a Knightsbridge “medispa” clinic as a joint venture with a US company, building a client base of celebrities, business owners and UHNWIs.
John Yates, Partner and Group Head of Commercial at DMH Stallard, said:
“This is a very exciting and significant appointment allowing DMH Stallard to build a London-based commercial team to support our fast growing corporate business. Seb is a highly respected commercial lawyer with impressive credentials, but it was his entrepreneurial approach which really marked him out to us.
"We are keen to build a team around Seb based in London, as we continue to build that office”.
Seb said:
“DMH Stallard has an outstanding reputation for high-quality commercial work and a genuinely collaborative culture. I’m delighted to be joining such a highly regarded firm and looking forward to contributing to the continued growth of the commercial team with John Yates, and to being a part of a London office close to my home and connections.”
