Former Bank of England head of security joins firm
City litigation practice Bivonas Law has today announced that internationally respected information security expert Don Randall MBE has joined its team as a senior consultant.
Previously chief security information pfficer at the Bank of England, Randall will be bringing market-leading insights on security and risk to one of the City’s top legal practices in the areas of large-scale commercial litigation, criminal investigations and prosecutions, regulatory investigations and employment disputes.
One of the UK’s most recognised experts in cyber security and risk, Randall first assumed the role of head of security at the Bank of England in 2008, and was elected as chairman of the global banks heads of security group in 2013. He began his career with the City of London Police, specialising in fraud and counter-terrorism investigations, and in 1995 was appointed as managing director and international security manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific at JPMorgan Chase.
In 2007, Randall was awarded an MBE for services to law enforcement involving the harmonisation of the public and private sector agencies. Among other accolades, he has been the recipient of the Imbert Award by the Association of Security Consultants for his advancement of risk and security management in the UK, and the Security Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Security Profession.
Randall is Chairman of the London Resilience Business Sector panel and sits on various expert panels relating to the prevention, deterrence and detection of terrorist and other criminal activities. He has also recently been appointed as a non-executive director with Pilgrims Group, an international security, risk management and service support company.
