Dr John White—AvMA Clinical Negligence Panel

Clinical negligence expert at BL Claims Solicitors appointed to charity’s key legal panel

A clinical negligence specialist at law firm BL Claims Solicitors has been appointed to a key legal panel which campaigns for patients who have suffered medical accidents.

Dr John White, based at the firm’s offices at New Kings Court, Southampton, has been appointed to the AvMA (Action Against Medical Accidents) Clinical Negligence Panel.

AvMA is the leading UK charity specialising in advice and support for patients affected by medical accidents. Since it started in 1982, it has provided advice and support to more than 100,000 patients and families.

Membership of the panel runs for five years, after which the panel member can reapply for a further five-year term.

Dr White, who is head of the clinical negligence team at BL Claims Solicitors, is a dual-qualified doctor and solicitor who has two decades of legal experience.  He is also a member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel.

He says: “The philosophy at BL Claims Solicitors chimes perfectly with the aims and objectives of the AvMA—both the firm and the charity are dedicated to safeguarding patient safety and to helping those who have been injured as the result of a medical accident.

“I am proud to have been appointed to this panel and look forward to working closely with AvMA in the years to come.”
