A consultation on secondary legislation required for the introduction of e-conveyancing has been announced by Land Registry. The consultation paper seeks views on proposals to create electronic legal charges and other services likely to be available on Land Registry’s network during 2008, including an information tool for viewing the status of linked conveyancing transactions and extension and enhancement of the ability to lodge applications electronically at Land Registry. The consultation ends on 16 November 2007 and is available at www.econsultations.e-conveyancing.gov.uk.
