Appointment of two finance specialists boosts private capital and corporate offering

Independent law firm Edwin Coe has announced the addition of two leading finance specialists from Memery Crystal and Rosenblatt (both part of formerly AIM quoted RBG Holdings plc), significantly boosting its capabilities in advising private capital and corporate clients.

David Sachs, a seasoned finance lawyer with over 25 years of experience, joins Edwin Coe to lead the banking & finance team. David has a distinguished track record of representing lenders, borrowers, private equity sponsors, and financial advisers in various complex transactions, including leveraged management buy-outs, public to private takeovers, real estate and development financing, and debt financings.

Daniel Tunkel, the former head of financial regulation at Memery Crystal, one of the leading experts in mid-market UK financial regulation, is also joining the firm. Daniel's considerable experience in financial regulation assists clients across the financial markets in relation to being or becoming regulated in the UK or, where applicable, avoiding the need to do so.  This field has grown massively in recent years, as the jurisdiction of the FCA has been progressively broadened.  He also advises on the structuring and promotion of UK and offshore private investment funds, and of course, is increasingly active in advice to the developing cryptoasset market.

Alison Broadberry, managing partner at Edwin Coe, expressed her enthusiasm: 'We are delighted to welcome David, Daniel and some of their previous teams to Edwin Coe. These highly experienced professionals and their teams add further strength and depth to our strategic focus of Litigation and Private Capital and significantly enhance our corporate offering. Their expertise will undoubtedly benefit our existing clients and attract new clients to the firm. It was evident very quickly when we met that our values are aligned; we all look forward to working with each other.'

David Sachs, head of banking & finance at Edwin Coe stated 'I am very excited to join Edwin Coe and to start working with my new colleagues and to further develop and grow the firm’s banking and finance practice. I believe my clients will benefit greatly from Edwin Coe’s supporting and empowering values and its reputation for client service excellence.'
