Employment hearings consultation launched

The Law Commission has launched a consultation on Employment Law Hearing Structures, with responses due by 11 January 2019. It looks at extending limitation periods in employment tribunals, mainly to six months, raising or removing the £25,000 limit for breach of contract claims, stationing employment judges in the civil courts for discrimination claims and creating a list of employment and equalities judges. It does not consider structural change.
