New team member at Furley Page’s Agriculture and Rural Business Team
A law firm which specialises in advising farmers and rural land owners in the South East on issues including residential and commercial development schemes, planning and renewable energy projects has strengthened its rural business team.
Ethan Desai has joined the Agriculture and Rural Business Team at law firm Furley Page as a Senior Associate.
Ethan has joined a team which has acted for farmers and rural land owners for generations and understands their special requirements. The team, which is an integral part of the agricultural scene in Kent and the South East, is expert in helping clients to meet the challenges of running their businesses in an ever-changing economic climate.
Ethan joins a team line-up which includes long-serving Partner Christopher Wacher, Partner and Head of Real Estate Jeremy Licence, Partner David Hall, who is Head of Property Disputes, which includes agricultural disputes and Associate Nicola Hopper.
Jeremy Licence says: “Ethan is a first class lawyer with considerable experience of this complex area of the law. He has an excellent background representing rural and agricultural clients and is already making a welcome contribution to the work of our team.”
Ethan, who previously held a similar specialist agricultural role at a law firm in the Midlands, says: “The strength and breadth of agricultural law and rural business expertise at Furley Page is renowned and is what attracted me. I mainly advise on land-related matters, but increasingly rural land owners need advice on other aspects of the law. I am pleased to be joining a firm which has wider agricultural expertise.”
