First international alliance between new-model dispersed law firms
Excello Law, the fast-growing commercial law firm, has announced an alliance with US law firm Rimon, broadening the firm‟s international reach and strengthening its ability to take on cross-border work. This marks the first international alliance between new-model dispersed law firms and is testament to the success of the model and the benefits it brings to both clients and lawyers.
For clients this alliance means that cross-border UK/US matters can be handled seamlessly on both sides of the pond by like-minded, flexible and cost-effective firms who operate with the same ethos and quality standards. For its lawyers it provides an additional stream of high-value, complex and sought-after international transactions.
The alliance is the latest development for Excello Law following a host of significant appointments and office openings in the last 12 months including offices in London, Liverpool and Leeds. Unlike virtual law firms that simply offer their lawyers access to office facilities, Excello Law‟s unique approach entails dedicated offices supporting its "experience heavy, bureaucracy light" approach to practice. Each of the offices has been designed to provide the firm‟s growing national team with a modern and vibrant flexible working space.
Like Excello Law, Rimon is an entrepreneurial firm challenging the traditional law firm model by providing clients with quality legal advice and experienced lawyers with more flexibility and control over their working lives. The firm has 40 lawyers, with offices in 14 locations coast to coast across the US, as well as in Tel Aviv. It offers corporate, litigation, tax, intellectual property and private client advice, with a particularly focus on the financial services and technology sectors. Clients include Polaroid, Samsung, BP and Toyota.
Excello Law‟s founder and managing director, George Bisnought, says: “The alliance with Rimon is a significant step for us, giving Excello Law further international reach. We have been approached by a number of US operations but Rimon was the firm most closely aligned with Excello Law‟s ethos and culture. Like Excello, Rimon‟s lawyers are all hugely experienced and are drawn from top firms and major corporations, which means we can be confident that our clients will receive the same high-quality advice that they have come to expect from the Excello brand.”
Founding partner and CEO of Rimon, Michael Moradzadeh, says: “Finding the right alliance partner in the UK was an important part of our international expansion strategy. Like Rimon, Excello Law is a growing commercial firm that is successfully challenging the traditional law firm model and offering entrepreneurial lawyers the ability to focus on their clients, free from the bureaucracy and hierarchies that are typical of private practice. We are pleased to have found a like-minded group of professionals that can offer our clients direct access to high-level legal advice on UK matters.”
