Kennedys strengthens professional indemnity practice with latest London partner hire
International law firm Kennedys has strengthened its professional indemnity (PI) practice with the appointment of Fleur Rochester as a partner in its London office. She is the fourth lateral partner hire by the firm this calendar year.
With a particular emphasis on construction, surveyors’ and solicitors’ professional indemnity, Fleur will add to Kennedys’ existing PI team operating across its UK and Ireland offices, in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Taunton, Belfast and Dublin.
Joining from Hill Dickinson, Fleur has completed a number of secondments for brokers and underwriters during her career and, as well as acting for Lloyd’s Syndicates, has existing relationships with many of Kennedys’ global insurer clients, further strengthening the firm’s London Market offering.
Kennedys’ senior partner Nick Thomas says: “The strength and depth of our professional indemnity practice is unrivalled. Attracting strong lateral hires like Fleur, who is well known to many of our global insurer clients, only adds to its credentials and our ability to provide clients with the highest-quality service.
“Our expansion continues apace throughout the UK and internationally and we expect to make further new partner hires imminently.”
Fleur adds: “I am delighted to be joining Kennedys. The firm’s reputation for quality and client focus speaks for itself and its growing international presence offers opportunities to further increase its strong client base. I am looking forward to developing my London insurance market practice during such exciting times for the firm.”
This latest hire follows those of Mark Walsh and Robert Wallace to the firm’s Birmingham office, from Lyons Davidson in January, and of professional indemnity specialist Daniel Scanlon to Kennedys’ Dublin office from Maples & Calder earlier this month.
