Flexible parenting

The government has published proposals to introduce flexible parental leave.

Under its consultation on modern workplaces, mothers would retain a basic 18 weeks’ maternity leave, a further four weeks of leave would be available to each parent, and the remaining 30 weeks would be “additional parental leave” available to either parent.
